Gregory Brown stated that James along with one of his sons, was killed either by Indians or highwaymen when he tried to move his family west. The story is not clear. His wife Unknown Goff, took Nancy and the rest of the family back to Virginia.
Question.....could it be that an unknown Goff took wife Nancy and the rest of the family back to VA. ? We have documantation for Nancy and no other indication that James might have been married to an unknown Goff.
